Talladega Nights!

I just got back for the movie Talladega Nights and I have to say it was pretty good. Will Ferrell The Ballad of Ricky Bobbyis probably the funniest man a live and is probably the only actor/comedian to be able to pull off this role. There are at least 2 or 3 times you laugh so hard you can’t even breath. I am a big nascar fan, so it was funny how they made fun of some aspects of the sport. With some suprise cameos from Dale Earnhardt and a few other nascar nextel cup drivers I really thought it was a good all around movie. If it wasn’t for a couple slow parts in the middle of the movie when Ricky Bobby is trying to get the feeling of speed back, I would have given it close to a perfect 5 out of 5. After it was all said and done, I would give it a 3.9 out of 5. On the official movie site, they have where you can get your own racing name. When I typed my name in, it spit out the name the rocket. Now its not the most creative name, but I actually like it. There were a few banners you could choose from and I posted one below.

Pepsi 400

I went to the Pepsi 400 at Daytona National Speedway over the July 4 weekend. I am a big Nascar fan, and this was my first race. I have been trying to get to a race for years, but with Daytona only having two Nascar races a year it is hard. The Daytona 500 is really hard and expensive to go to, and the Pepsi 400 is during the July 4th holiday. So this year was the year and it was awesome. They had so much stuff going on over there, with venders giving away free stuff. When the race finally got started the rush of the cars going by at over 190 miles an hour was amazing. There is no way to discribe it, you have to see if for yourself. I would put up some pictures but I didn’t take much. With the hotel being a mile a way and it being as hot as it was, we did make to many trips back to the hotel so I couldn’t get the camera. Also with the strict rules they have for entering the track, we just decided to take the bare minimun so they wouldn’t tell us we couldn’t get in. I did get a picture in front of Kevin Harvick’s car. It was provided by chevy racing so its not the best quality.
